Supervising Producer - Global Journalist August 2019 - Present
Oversees the production of episodes of Global Journalist, a 30-minute international affairs talk show aired by several NPR member stations in Missouri and California.
Worked in tandem with previous host Jason McLure to teach student producers how to find guests, research and pitch original stories, and meet hard deadlines. Would step in to find and pre-interview guests as needed.
Orchestrated visuals for the show with Global Journalist's director and audio engineer, connected and prepared guests for the taping, as well as solved connection issues that arose during taping.
Currently re-structuring the show's format and content with new host Kathy Kiely.
Podcast Producer - KBIA August 2019 - Present, January - May 2018
Work with a team of KBIA 91.3 staff, editors and students to produce emotional, impactful podcasts focusing on two wildly different subjects — the story of an animal trading magnate from northern Missouri lost to history, and former MU journalism student Madison Lawson's struggles with mental health as someone living with muscular dystrophy.
Conceptualize, structure, report and produce podcasts that meet high journalistic and storytelling standards.
Transcribe, make cuts and produce episodes in Adobe Audition.
Reporter/Anchor - KBIA January 2020 - Present, January- May 2018
Report + produce readers and wraps for newscasts by interviewing sources, writing scripts, voicing and producing.
Live-anchor newscasts. I work with a supervising editor to select from student-produced stories, content from the Associated Press, the Columbia Missourian, and other NPR member stations to create newscasts with a diverse mix of local and state news.
Will pitch + produce 5 feature stories over the next 3 months, all with an accompanying web story.

Worked alongside a rotating cast of photographers and editors to coordinate daily photo and video coverage.
Worked with photographers to edit photo galleries.
Coordinate visuals coverage for special projects.

Produced in-depth research documents about our show’s topic for the host. This would include detailed reports about the pre-interviewed guests, including an analysis of both the knowledge of the guest and how the host should interact with them as an interview subject.
